2. How many years have you been in business?
Our company has been operating for 26 years; however, our history as a third-generation local Southern Ocean County builder solidifies our standing in the communities we build homes in.
3. Do you assist in developing architectural plans for the build? Do you build previously completed plans brought to you by homeowners?
We work with several experienced architects to assist in designing your custom home. We are present throughout consultations to ensure the design, specifications, and cost meet your goals. We also work with clients who already have plans and specifications, and our process includes a plan review.
4. How do you handle changes/upgrades made during the construction process?
Changes and upgrades are a natural part of the custom home building process and are priced and reviewed with the homeowner. Upon approval, a custom Work Order will be issued and incorporated into the project to ensure the changes are account for in the construction plan.
5. Do you work with subcontractors? How often do you vet them?
Stonehenge’s subcontractors play a significant role in the home building process. These professionals have been working with us for many years, and we have developed personal relationships with our subcontractors. This ensures a consistent quality and timeline for every project.
6. How often do you finish projects on schedule? How long will it take to build my home?
Effective scheduling is paramount to our process, and we understand the importance of finishing the home on time. Schedules for each project are prepared and reviewed every week. Because of our experience, we are very consistent in our performance. Typical projects are completed in 9-12 months.
7. How crucial is communication when completing a project?
Communication is also an integral part of our building process. Clear and effective communication eliminates frustration for everyone involved. We have a quick response time and there is always someone on our team to help, as our entire company is familiar with your project.
8. Do you have a current project I can tour and/or previous clients I can talk to?
Clients are invited to tour any of the projects we are currently building.
9. Do you disappear after we move in? Or do you have a long-term commitment to serving your homeowners?
Stonehenge has a long list of satisfied clients. We will provide a reference list so you may contact them regarding their experience with Stonehenge. Our homes come with a 10-year warranty.
11. Do you offer design assistance? Or assistance with making selections for our new home?
To assist you in making the many decisions related to selecting finish materials and colors, we provide the assistance of a qualified interior designer. The cost for this service is included in our price.
